Final Plan

A public meeting was held on April 16th to review the draft Plan. If you missed the meeting or would like to review the slides, please click here. In May, the draft was presented to the Planning Commission and recommended for adoption by the Town Council. Council held a public hearing and first reading on Thursday, June 5, 2025. The second reading and adoption took place on Wednesday, June 18th. The final, adopted Comprehensive Plan can be viewed here.

Planning Process

The Comprehensive Plan was updated over a 12-month timeframe, beginning in July of 2024. The major tasks included conducting background research, receiving feedback from the public, and developing a new Comprehensive Plan to guide land use and development decisions throughout the Town of Ridgeland. The process is outlined below.

Council Presentations

On December 19th, the Town Council held a workshop to discuss the Comprehensive Planning Process. During this meeting, the project team presented a summary of the key findings to date and reviewed the initial "emerging themes" which will be used to develop the recommendations of the Comprehensive Plan. The Town Council also held a first reading and public hearing on the draft plan. This meeting, held on June 5th, included a presentation, which can be viewed here.
